My Values & Beliefs
I am a parent, step-mother and grandmother, double graduate degreed psychotherapist in neuropsychology and clinical counseling who works with adults, adolescents, parents and parents of neuro-atypical children, helping them understand strengths and transform weaknesses so you and your children thrive, creating more fulfilling, more connected, and more loving relationships. For the last 25 plus years I have worked with anxiety and as an advocate for gifted and profoundly gifted children, known internationally for working with gifted children and their families, teaching research based parenting, emotional regulation and anxiety management skills that actually work.
As a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois, national certified counselor, board certified telemental health provider, certified in Positive Discipline, with a Master’s degree in Neuropsychology, second Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, and two decades’ of highly influential work in the mental health field, I’ve had the pleasure to impacted other’s mental health and wellbeing through research, international community mental health work, government and community mental health organizations, national and local parent organizations, and currently through my counseling practice and online trainings.
Though I enjoy the therapy relationships in clinical work, I love teaching and sharing what I have learned in speaking engagements, from private gifted schools like Quest Academy, national organizations like the Davidson Institute, to larger audiences from around the world like at the Best You Expo Long Beach.
Catherine is passionate about sharing her knowledge and has been recognized for outstanding leadership by the International Association of Top Professionas (NY), Elite American Educators, Elite Women Worldwide, Marquis Who’s Who, “Top Female Executive” and as a “Top 101 Industry Expert.”
